May have to resurrect this one at a Con sometime soon...got a friend from Canada who's doing the Illyria costume and wants to troop with "crazy season-5 Wesley". Welsh accent a bit rusty, but, still have the glasses & costume, and Ani has helped me learn to do crazy really well, so gosh why not. (however, this time, I will not spend two hours gluing on 92,000 individual pieces of razor stubble. Gah! ROFL!)


And of course, there's old Prince Vlad/ Bram Stoker's Dracula, from 2004...



...not a bad resemblance considering that was before I discovered facial prosthetics....at least close enough to fool a drag queen - poor Prince Vlad got some rather unexpected attention from a very aggressive Ru Paul lookalike at the West Hollywood Halloweeen carnival in 2004, and had to ruuuun really fast to get away. Yikes!!

Hey you guys.

Sorry long time no post,...I've just had about fifty bazillion things going on here at once since the first of the year, and also trying to get ready for the Relay For Life show with the OCSWS, so the months have flown by.
I've been meaning to post an updated pic of "Wesley" here for a while now,...thought you'd get a grin out of seeing this one...the pic was taken last month prior to going to a Joss Whedon event in Hollywood...with me is my best friend Dawn, who costumes as Wesley's otherworldly sidekick the primordial God-king Illyria, and also plays the role in our RP group as well as the role of Winifred Burkle from 'Angel'..

Though I don't have pics of our whole 'Angel' team, there are a couple of other characters from the show who do events with us too from time to time, including Lorne the singing demon, and the 3 foot tall "Angel" puppet from the Season 5 "Smile Time",...in fact, if all goes as planned then Obi-Shawn will be doing the voice of the Angel puppet for us during Comic-Con this year, which of course is the voice of David Boreanaz who played Angel in the show. We also hope to have my friend Phil from the OCSWS along with us at upcoming events this fall, as he does a spot-on version of 'Spike'.

Anyway...........without further ado,...here's Mr. Wyndham-Pryce and his Illyria now....

Thought you guys might want to see Wesley's latest escapades...
...this past month for Anime L.A., I teamed up with three of my best buds, Dawn, Phil and E.J. from the OCSWS/Saber Alliance, and we converged upon the convention as Wes, Illyria, Spike and Charles Gunn, from "Angel". We did a brief choreo skit in the costume Masquerade, and, much to our surprise and joy, won Honorable mention for Details.

This one was taken during the day as we were all sort of hanging out at the con...

And here are a couple from the awards ceremony that night...


Then, we left the convention, and went on an adventure, for an impromptu photo-shoot at the old "Hyperion Hotel" film location from "Angel" seasons 2 thru 4. (location is actually the historic Los Altos apartments in L.A.) The lighting in these isn't great, but as quick guerilla-photoshoots go, not half bad....

Those are awesome Liane!!! Great job on everything about it. Looks like you had lots of fun too.
